This Fervent Love for Christ!

How often, dear Christian, have you allowed sinful thoughts, idle words, or earthly cares to interrupt you when you are in Christ's sweet presence, and before you know it, His Spirit has departed from you?
I think of when we close our Bibles, or at the close of the worship service, or immediately after we say Amen after we've prayed…. HOW OFTEN do our thoughts and our conversations IMMEDIATELY transition to other things…. And then I must wonder, if my thoughts can be immediately elsewhere after I've been in the presence of Christ…. was I even in His presence? Or did I already stir Him to hasten away from me?
