God, in Christ, Demonstrating His Love for His Enemies

Luke's account of the crucifixion focuses uniquely on the astonishing love of Jesus for His enemies—general, sympathetic love in goodness to all His enemies, and especially specific and saving love to those enemies whom He had elected in everlasting love, and for whom He was being crucified.
