Spiritual Friendship

Because the Lord was with him, David was greatly successful and loved by the people and increasingly feared and detested by King Saul. Amidst facing King Saul's jealous anger, David and Jonathan forged a deep friendship that provided needed strength and support during times of trouble, sets a standard for the friends we should have in our lives and reminds us to look to and point others to Jesus Christ, the Friend of sinners.
