in chapter number eight tonight. Thank you for being here. Brother Aaron's taking the teenagers to go out and hand out visitations tonight. And so I said last week I'd preach short tonight so we'd get done in time to move all the furniture around. But if he's not back with the teens by then, that means we've got to do it all. So you think I need to preach longer? What's worse, moving furniture or hearing me preach? Don't answer that. Alright, Daniel chapter number 8. We're calling it the Shadow of the End. Been going through a series of messages on Wednesday nights for a while now. We're calling it Visions and Valor, a study of Daniel. Daniel chapter 8 will Lord willing, we'll cover that whole chapter tonight. We'll begin in verse number 1 to read. Shadows of the End. Let's read verse 1 and 2 to get started. In the third year of the reign of King Belshazzar, a vision appeared unto me, even unto me Daniel. After that which appeared unto me, at the first. Now you remember last week in chapter 7 he saw a vision from God about the future a prophetic vision and then the first six chapters of Daniel was in chronological order now he's going back and filling in some of the blanks and so this was still during the reign of Belshazzar so what he's seeing here, what Daniel is seeing is in the future for him And as we look back on it, we see part of what he saw as history has already happened. Some of it happened immediately during the reign of Belshazzar, but there was part of the vision that is a shadow that goes clear into the future that is still prophecy, is still future for me and you. And so, verse number two says, I saw in a vision and it came to pass when I saw that I was at Shushan the palace which is in the province of Elam and I saw in a vision and was by the river Uli." Well let's pray there and then we'll we'll examine this vision of prophecy. Father, bless us, we pray. Help us to understand what we read. Lord, help us to make application to our own lives. Lord, help us to anticipate what lies in the future for us. Lord, help us to see that you are a sovereign God, that your plans do not change at the whim of man. And Lord, help us to be secure and at peace in our own hearts about the things that happen to us and will happen in the future because if it's your vision, Lord, if it's your prophecy, if it's your plan and your will, then everything's going to work out all right for the child of God. We pray that you'd bless us tonight in Jesus' name. Amen. So let's examine the vision. The first thing we see is the vision of the ram and the goat, and it covers the first 14 verses, although we just read the two and he doesn't get into the vision of the he-goat and the ram in the second verse, but he does in the third. So you're going to see first a ram with two horns. Now this ram one of his horns is going to be higher than the other, according to the scripture. It's going to be a large, probably the ram, you know, they got kind of curled horns, and so maybe one of them sticks up a lot higher than the other in this vision. It's a vision that represents something else. And in verse number 3, he says, Then I lifted up mine eyes. Now, Daniel's in a trance. God's showing him what's going to happen in the future. And he says, Then I lifted up my eyes. He's transported by spirit in this vision to the banks of the Uli River which would be east of where he was in Babylon and so he says, I lifted up my eyes and saw and behold there stood on the river a ram which had two horns and the two horns were high but one was higher than the other and the higher came up last. Have we got a picture, have we got a picture of that, of the realm? There you go. See, this was a painting that was actually drawn in that day. Well, it was a Polaroid shot. You're supposed to laugh there. Actually, we don't know what the realm looked like. We're supposing it might have looked something like this where he had one larger horn. Now what those horns mean is this represents the Medo-Persian Empire that's about to conquer. See he's in Belshazzar is still the head, he's the king of the Babylonian Empire but this Medo-Persian Empire is going to come in just a little bit later as we saw in chapter 5 and they're going to conquer Babylon and King Belshazzar is going to die in this conquering. And so Medo-Persia, the Persians were the stronger which would represent the higher horn. So the Persians were stronger even though they were merged with the Medes. So the Median Empire had been absorbed by the Persian Empire and the Persian Empire would be the strongest one, kind of like that bear, you know, remember we talked about the bear in previous prophecies that Daniel saw, and the bear raised up on one side, well, that one side that he raised up on is like the high horn on this ram. It represents the stronger of the two kingdoms that had merged together, that of Medo-Persia. And so then he sees the two horns and this Medo-Persian empire was vast, It was powerful, and the Medo-Persian Empire is moving forward, absorbing different kingdoms, smaller kingdoms, and so this realm represents the Medo-Persian Empire, which is conquering the world. It's already conquered Babylonia, and now it's becoming a world empire taking the place of Babylon. And so this vision reminds us that even the most dominant forces still fall under the sovereignty of God. The greatest empire in the world, even Rome, as great as it was later, still was not able to overcome the sovereign God of the Bible. And so we understand, as we look at politics today, and we see that One country takes over another country, and like in World War II, there were two or three countries that were trying to dominate the whole world, Germany and Japan in particular, trying to dominate the whole world. And as powerful as they were, God still is on the throne. And God can bring empires up, and He can put them down. And that's what He's doing right here. So then we go to verse number 5, and we see the he-goat with the prominent horn. The he-goat, verse number five. And as I was considering, behold, an he-goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth. Now, when we're talking about the west, we know which way west is from here, correct? Sun sets over on this side. Where is the point of reference according to Hebrew biblical prophecy and their books? when he says west, west of what? Well, Jerusalem, Israel is the center for the Hebrews, Jerusalem was the center of the world and it seems as though still even today Israel still occupies a very prominent place and Israel will also occupy a prominent place, the most prominent place in the world during the thousand year reign of Jesus Christ. Because Jesus is going to rule, the Bible says, from Jerusalem, from His throne in Jerusalem. So anytime we see northeast, south and west, in the Bible is generally speaking from the point of Jerusalem. So, he's looking west and here comes the he-goat. It's got a prominent horn. And how is it considering a he-goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, touched not the ground. What's the significance of that? He touched not the ground. This is Alexander the Great and the the Grecian empire, the great empire of Greece. And when this ram's going forth to conquer, it's said that, boy, he's going so fast that his feet doesn't even touch the ground. Well, that's kind of like the way Brother Denny drives. Brother Denny is mentioned in the Bible. It says, he driveth furiously. No, wait, that was Jehu, wasn't it? I've got to get in my one pick on Denny for the night. No, I drive very slow. I drive very slow. We've got a state trooper sitting here. I've got to say I drive very slow. This he-goat, man, he's conquering. And this is Alexander the Great and the Grecian Empire. And he's conquering. He's not as, maybe, as big armies as some of these other world empires, but he moves swiftly and differently than did this previous Ram Empire, which was the original empire that we talked about at the very beginning was Nebuchadnezzar's empire of Babylon and this Grecian Empire is conquering swiftly, so he's pictured as not even touching the ground, he's moving so fast, and he's conquering country after country. Now he's not stopping in each town to try to kill everybody there. Alexander the Great was more likely just to conquer a small kingdom, bring it under subjugation, and then move on. He's covering a lot of territory in a short period of time. So let's read on. It says in verse number 6, And he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of his power. And I saw him come close unto the ram, And he was moved with choler, choleric, angry, fierce, ferocious, full of vitriol. And so it says, he attacked with choler against him, smote the ram and broke his two horns. And there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground and stamped upon him and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand. Therefore the he-goat waxed very great, and when he was strong the great horn was broken, for it came up for notable ones toward the four winds of heaven." Now when the he-goat has got one big horn coming out of the center, he rams the horn. This is all symbolic of Greece, Greece conquering I'm Greece conquering Medo-Persia and so Alexander the Great captures that Empire, and now Greece is in charge, the great Grecian Empire. Even in the New Testament when we read about the Hellenists, they were of Greek culture. Even the Romans, later on in the Roman Empire, they still held on to a lot of the Greek culture, their architecture, their ways of living, some of their pagan gods, and some of their beliefs and practices and ceremonies. There was a lot of the Grecian Empire left even, and some of it still exists today. So, Alexander the Great's rapid rise to power. Now, the problem comes from Alexander. He was great. I mean, every historian will grant you that he was a world conqueror, established a world empire, and he was a great man. By age 30, he had conquered just about everything he set out to conquer. But in his early 30s, he died. He died from alcoholism, bowel disease. You see, no matter how great somebody is, when they abuse their body and their God-granted opportunities, they fall victim just like everybody else that tries to overcome God's sovereignty. He turned out not to be such a world conqueror that he could keep his kingdom it fell. Now it says that when that horn was broken, that large horn, the he-goat, which represents Greece, when he When his horn was broken, that's talking about the death of Alexander. And then it says, four notable horns rose up in its place. Alexander had four generals. Since he didn't have heirs, he didn't have arrangements made for somebody else to take the throne, he had four major generals that the kingdom was split up and given to in its latter times after Alexander's death. So no matter how mighty a person or nation may become, they're still subject to God's timing and to God's power. Now we see a second thing, the little horns rise to power. The little horn, this is what we hear a lot about in prophecy. The little horn. Daniel 8, verse 9 and 10. Daniel 8, 9 and 10. Verse 9, out of them came forth a little horn. I was talking about the four notable horns that came up in the place of the one horn that was Alexander the Great. It says, and out of them came forth a little horn which waxed exceeding great toward the south and toward the east and toward the pleasant land. Pleasant land being Israel. And it says, And it waxed great, this little horn, even to the host of heaven. And it cast down some of the host of the stars. Now the stars here would be representative of the Jews, of the Hebrew people. And it cast the host of the stars to the ground and stamped upon them. This little horn comes up and waxed exceedingly great and it was very powerful coming out of this Grecian culture. This would be none other, most every historian would say this is Antiochus IV, Epiphanes, he gave himself the name Epiphanes, he was Antiochus IV but he gave himself the name Epiphanes which means Basically, it means he's declaring himself to be God. And so, he thought quite a bit of himself, right? Do we have the picture that comes after the little horn? Antiochus desecrates the temple. He goes into the temple and he is brutal. I mean, he's persecuting the Jews. He's killing the Jews. and he goes to the temple and just for spite and meanness he goes into their temple and you know the Jews were forbidden to eat pork. They didn't like pigs. So Antiochus sacrifices a pig on the altar and desecrates the temple. This broke the hearts of the Jews. He is devastating the nation of Israel. This happens throughout history where rulers that despise anything that refers to God, it happened in Russia, it's happened in other nations where rulers who despise God do everything they can to hurt the people of God and The Nazis did that in World War II. They persecuted the Jews, gassed them in gas chambers, burned buried the ones that didn't get cremated. He would bury them in long rows. They'd take a bulldozer and root out a ditch hundreds of feet long and they'd just throw the Jews, the dead corpses of the Jews into that ditch like stove wood and then take a bulldozer and just cover them up. Mass graves. The Jews were hated in Germany. If you've been watching the news you'll also see that that Jews don't fare too well, even in America today. I mean, we say we're a tolerant nation. We're very tolerant. And yet on the universities a few months ago, you saw how Muslims and others, those who hold to Hamas and approve of what Hamas did on October the 7th, just one year anniversary a couple days ago. We see the students blocking the Hebrews and going to their classes, saying hateful, derogatory things to them. That would never be tolerated if that happened to any other race in America. It would not be tolerated, I think, because they're Jews, they're hated. Now, do the Jews need Jesus? Well, sure they do. That doesn't mean we have to kill them if they don't accept Jesus. And, you know, the difference between Christians and And Muslims? The Muslims want you to convert, and if they had their way, they'd slay everybody who didn't convert. And Christians try to win other people to the Lord because they love them. They want to see them saved. They want to see them in heaven one day. And so they witness out of love for them, not out of hatred, anger, jealousy, to try to kill them. Have you noticed that that the war in the Middle East, it's always focused on the Muslims coming to Israel and trying to harm, kill, hurt, rob, rape the Israeli people. It's always been that way ever since the Jews came on the scene and they've lasted through it all these years. But keep one thing in mind, the Jews are God's people but they're going through a time right now a time of chastisement because they rejected the Savior and in cahoots with the Romans they slew the Savior, they crucified Him. Good for you and me that He was crucified that completed His plan for us to receive the gospel and be redeemed but horrible for those who killed Him and the Jews need to be saved and one day they will be The millennial kingdom will have Jews in it that got saved during tribulation and saints of the Old Testament. But right now, most of them are in rebellion against Jesus. And so we pray for them. But they're still God's chosen people and he'll bring them back one of these days. Now notice another thing in verse 13. See, this whole chapter 8 is about the basic theme of chapter 8 is the he-goat and the ram. This little horn, this little horn that we see in chapter 8, listen, it's not the same. That little horn is not the same little horn as we saw in chapter 7. Little horn in chapter 7 of Antichrist, here we see it pointing to Antiochus Epiphanes. Yes, with a shadow of the future in view, but primarily about Antiochus. And this is a different little horn. Gabriel then gives a prophecy, explains it to Daniel in verse number 13. Let's read that. It says, Then I heard one saint speaking. Now in his vision, he's still standing there on the bank of the river. You lie. He said, Then I heard one saint speaking. Another saint said to that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice and transgression of desolation? Now the desolation was when Antiochus sacrificed the pig in the temple and he desecrated the temple. And so, These two saints are talking, one of them says, how long will this desolation of the temple last? And so this is what he's going to answer. He said, concerning the daily sacrifice and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden underfoot. And he said unto me, unto 2,300 days, then shall the sanctuary be cleansed. Alright, when did it get cleansed? See this was all future to Daniel right here, it hadn't happened yet. But it does happen, and to us, we look back and see it in history. Remember the 400 years of what they call the 400 years of silence between the Old Testament and the New Testament? During that period of time when there's no scripture recorded in our Bible about those centuries, this is when the Maccabean Revolt took place, and these Old Testament Jews, they finally got fed up with Antiochus. and I can see why, couldn't you? And so the time finally comes when Antiochus is removed from the picture. Now you may call him Antiochus and that's okay if you do. Some pronounce it both ways. I just think it sounds a little more weird to say Antiochus and so I'm going to call him Antiochus. Sounds more sophisticated, don't you think? And so Antiochus has desecrated the temple and one of these saints in the vision says how long will this desolation last? And he says 2300 days is what's prophesied and then the temple will be cleansed. Judas Maccabeus comes on the scene, the Maccabean brothers, and so they come in and run the run the heathen who have captured Jerusalem and Israel, they run them out, they have some wars, the Maccabean wars, and then they cleanse the temple after 2300 days. Isn't it amazing how the scriptures always prove to be true? Every time God prophesies something, it comes to pass. And so that's why when we talk about the rapture, 1 Thessalonians chapter 4, 13 through 18. And it talks about we who are alive and remain at this time of the coming of the Lord in the clouds, so we'll be caught up together to meet him in the clouds of the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord. We call that the rapture. And if Jesus said I'm coming back for you, didn't he say in John chapter 14 I go and prepare a place for you and if I go and prepare a place for you I will come again and receive you unto myself that where I am there you shall be also. So since he promised that and the scripture promises that he's coming back at the end of this age before the tribulation starts and he's going to catch up all the Christians to go to heaven then If the Bible says so, I believe it that way, don't you? I believe it's just going to happen. The rapture is going to happen. Maybe it'll be soon. I don't know. I can hope. But the angel Gabriel explains all this to Daniel, Daniel, like he was in the previous chapter, he's wondering. See, in the earlier chapters, he's given the interpretation of the dreams to Nebuchadnezzar and to Belshazzar and those kings. He's giving them the interpretations. Here he is now seeing visions that he doesn't know. And so he's asking God, Lord, help me understand this. I know it's important, I just don't know what it means. And so they're explaining it to him. And so that brings us to point number three, the interpretation of the vision versus 15 through 27. Gabriel explains it in verse 19. Look at it with me. Verse 19, it says, and he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation. For at the time appointed, the end shall be. The realm which thou sawest, having two horns, are the kings of Media and Persia. And the rough the he-goat, is the king of Grecia and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king, that would be Alexander. Verse 22, now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power. You may have a little double meaning here. These four generals that stand up, they're not going to be of the same power that Alexander the Great was. They were inferior to him. But they're also, they're not standing in their own power either. God raises kingdoms up and he puts them down and he's the supreme power. And so, this is Gabriel's explanation, 19 through 22. This all unfolded right in front of Daniel while he's still alive as we read about in the earlier chapters of the book. Now let's talk about the destruction of the little horn. The little horn in Tychus says in verse number 23, And in the latter time of their kingdom When the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance and understanding dark sentences shall stand up. Now that's Antiochus. He's rising up out of that Greece, that empire, the world empire of Greece. And notice that it says that he's of a fierce countenance. That means he's mean as the devil and doesn't think twice about killing somebody, doesn't think twice about killing a whole village full of people. And it says, of a fierce countenance and understanding dark sentences, he had some kind of mystic ability to bring up things from the dark world. And it says he'll stand up. And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power. And here again, God's power is a supreme power. not by his own power, and he shall destroy wonderfully." Now the word wonderfully doesn't mean that's a good thing. Wonderfully means it just produces wonder in the mind. I wonder how somebody could even do this. How could somebody be so evil? And it says, he shall destroy wonderfully and shall prosper in practice. It means he's going to accomplish a lot of his goals. And shall destroy the mighty and holy people, which is Israel. And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand and he shall magnify himself in his heart and by peace shall destroy many. It seems like a lot of reflection here, mirror reflection of the little horn of revelation that's going to rise up as the Antichrist. think he's a wonderful man and he too will magnify himself and he too will declare peace. That's how the Antichrist is going to start out, promising peace to the Jews and peace to the world. It says he shall destroy many. He shall also stand up against the Prince of Princes. Notice the Prince there is capitalized, the Prince of Princes, that would be Jesus. King of kings and Lord of lords, but he shall be broken without hand. And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true. Wherefore shut up the vision, for it shall be for many days. Now when God tells him to shut up the vision that he had, God's not saying, now keep this secret. No, it's published in the Bible. It's for us to understand and know. What He's saying is, keep this shut up, protect it, put it in like a safe lockbox, keep hold of this because people later on down the road are going to need to know these things. So protect it, keep it safe. Shut it up, like you lock your doors at night. You don't want anybody to break in your house and steal you or your valuables. And so that's what he's saying about the Word of God. Verse 27 says, And I, Daniel, fainted and was sick certain days after I rose up and did the king's business. And I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it. He says, I was so sick after I saw this vision. Daniel said, man, I was so sick I couldn't even do the king's business for a few days. Remember, he's the king's right-hand man, but he can't carry on business. He is wilted inside. He sees things that are coming in the future, death, destruction, immediately in his time and in the far distant future. He's seeing all these things are going to happen, dark, evil, wicked things are going to happen. and it just removes everything from him. It robs him of his vitality and his well-being. For several days, he's just trying to deal with the vision that he saw. And so finally, he's able to get back on his feet and start taking care of his duties with the king again. So the little horn was destroyed. But it says, not by human hand. That emphasizes God and not man will ultimately defeat all the forces of evil. Let's talk about one other thing, the foreshadowing of the vision. Now we've said that these things that are happening here, some of it's already happened for Daniel, some of it's about to happen in the future, and even though Daniel's looking towards the future, there's some mountaintops and valleys that's blocking his view from seeing everything like you and I can see it today. And even though you and I can see more than what Daniel saw, we've got Daniel's prophecy here, we've got the prophecy of Revelation. We've got the prophecies of Ezekiel. We've got prophecies that we can look back and see how the historical prophecies were fulfilled and we can see maybe a little more now that we're in the time of Jesus and we know He is the Messiah and so we can see things that these Old Testament prophets just kind of got a glimpse of but they couldn't really tell what's going on much in the future. You and I know more about what's going on. We know about the rapture. We know about the second coming in more detail than they knew in their time. Now they knew some, a little bit about the second coming. But you and I see more than they did. We know about the Antichrist and we know that this foreshadowing of the little horn, Antiochus, this is a foreshadowing of the distant future from Daniel. Somewhat distant for us, we don't know how distant. but Antichrist will come on the scene. When the rapture takes place, all of God's children are going up, and we're going to be caught out of here, and we won't be going through all that desolation that takes place during the tribulation time. Hundred-pound hailstones falling from the sky, stars falling from the sky, earthquakes, volcanoes, wars all over the world, famine, pestilence, disease, hatred. People are running for their lives to get away from the Antichrist. Well, the Santa Christ that will come on the scene immediately after the rapture of God's people will begin the tribulation. We don't know who he is. He could be alive right now. We don't know. And we don't have to know. But this little horn of Antiochus demonstrated how evil a ruler can be. But it also foreshadows a future coming little horn who will even be more vile than Antiochus was. He will hate the Jews and he will chase them down. You can read through Matthew 25 and you can see how that and Revelation, the last chapters of Revelation, you can see how the Antichrist will persecute the Jews, he will chase them. and they will try to hide in dens and caves and try to avoid persecution and death by the Antichrist because he will hate them. The first three and a half years, he'll rise to power. The Antichrist will say, hey guys, I can solve all your problems. And he's going to be a nice guy. He may wear a suit and tie, have a neat haircut, look like a gentleman, speak with good diction, kind of a loving sound to him. He may just sound like, boy, this guy is easy to trust. Ah, but that's the beginning. That's how he's going to get people coming to him. He said, we're going to have peace. Israel, lay down your weapons, man. All this war is over. We're going to take care of you. And those who are left behind who are Gentiles, he's going to say, look, just follow me. I'll take care of everything. Don't worry. The businesses are going to do good. Now, in the background, there's going to be some bad things happening, but it'll still be somewhat more secretive. But after three and a half years of that seven-year tribulation, things go haywire all over the world. And this desolation of the temple that we read about from Antiochus way back yonder, This is going to happen again in Antichrist time after he gets the whole world following him with the exception of a few believers that's saved during the tribulation time. He gets everybody following him, he's got an allegiance, he's got a loyalty and then the persecution really starts. Then he turns on the Jews and he cancels out the peace document that he had with Israel. Now he begins to pursue them unto death. Those who would name the name of Christ, Gentiles, they'll be pursued as well. Those who refuse, take the mark of the beast. And those who decide to follow the Antichrist, they will feel safe because they're following him. And he won't be raining terror down on them, but he will for those who oppose him. and there's going to be a horrible time such as the Bible says, such as the world has never seen. Antiochus was concentrated right there in that one little area of the Mediterranean and he made life miserable for everybody in that area. But the Antichrist is going to have rule worldwide and he will make it such that people will despair to even wake up in the morning because they've got to run for their life again. He's identified as the beast in Revelation. He's called a beast not because he's going to look terrible like some of these images we've shown on the screen. He's not going to look like these horned goats and rams and the bear and the leopard and the lion. Those are figurative. phrases describing this man the Antichrist will be a beast at heart he will be actually be the devil incarnate when Jesus came into the world he came as God in the flesh when this little horn Antichrist comes during tribulation he will be the devil in the flesh and he will not only cause people to go to hell but he will make life miserable for them on earth before they even get there He desecrates the temple, the Antichrist does, just like Antiochus did, only he demands that people worship him. And then he'll persecute the saints, he'll exalt himself as God, he'll have power coming directly from Satan, and he will be destroyed in such a horrible manner he's going to be cast into the lake of fire. Now Satan will make one more appearance at the end of the thousand year reign of Christ. Satan will get a few people to follow him, well actually a pretty good sized multitude will follow him at the end of the thousand year reign of Christ. There will be some unbelievers at that time who were born from their naturally born parents who had gotten saved during tribulation time. and so there'll be some people that'll follow the devil at the end of the thousand year reign but then when he comes back in chapter 25 of Matthew and in Revelation you'll see the devil and all those who follow him cast into the lake of fire forever and ever, never to return. If you've been watching the news you know how the warnings have been coming on 24-7 about the hurricane that's approaching Florida that might be, I don't know if it's there yet or not, it's supposed to make landfall tonight and they've been predicting for days that it's going to be one of the worst hurricanes of all time and its destruction will be widespread and people have been warned, leave the area that's designated as evacuation area or you will die. That's simple, leave or die. Well, that's a pretty strong warning. If I was there, I'd leave. I'd do as they say. You know what else is a warning? Daniel's vision stands as a warning and Daniel's vision along with Revelation and the other prophecies in the Bible. Stand as a warning saying if you don't know Christ as Savior, the devil is coming in the flesh. He is that little horn. He is Antichrist. He will unleash his vile temper on the whole world and he will kill millions of people. And for seven years people will endure that and then the Lord comes back and all who are not saved will be destroyed. Those who follow the devil will follow him right into hell. And so the warning is this, if you don't know Jesus as Savior, you'd be luckier to stay in that hurricane zone tonight and take your chances on surviving the hurricane than you would to face Jesus Christ unsaved. Those who face Him with their own righteousness, with their own opinions, with their own works, their own good deeds, Jesus will say, Depart from me, you workers of iniquity, I never knew you. He said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by me. Boy, the warnings are plain in the Bible. Come to Jesus. He's come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, learn of me. I'm meek and lowly. And if people would just swallow their pride and say, you know, I am a sinner, like the Bible says, I do believe that Jesus died on the cross and rose again for me and I'm placing my trust in him this night. Boy, if I wasn't saved, I'd do it right now. Let's pray together, shall we? Father, thank you for the scriptures that let us not only see the history of the world, but the future of the world and the future of eternity. Lord, I pray that tonight for those who are still yet unsaved, that they run to the Savior for salvation so they wouldn't have to face the terrible things that will happen in these end times. Lord, we go through some trials and tribulations now but it's nothing compared to what would happen if a soul goes to hell. I pray that those who have not come to Christ yet in faith would turn to Him and trust Him tonight to be their Savior. Lord, help the Christians realize in their heart that times may get tough, life may not be easy, but Jesus will come back one of these days, and this life will seem nothing but a blink of the eye compared to eternity. Lord, if there's those who are unsaved, I pray that you'd save them tonight. And the Christians who are worried about things that are happening now, I pray you'd give them peace in their hearts.
