The Tower of Babel

In the Beginning - Lesson 26 - The Tower of Babel - Genesis 11:1-9. We examine the planning and purpose behind the building of the tower of Babel and we see God come down to see this tall tower men were building. The result of their rebellion against God is the confusion of the languages so that men would be prevented from refusing to fulfill God's commission to spread out over the earth. We also see an example in the New Testament at Pentecost when the effects of the confusion of languages was lifted for the preaching of the gospel at the birth of the New Testament Church.
