The Promise Found In Noah

On this Thanksgiving weekend, we quite naturally come to our next passage in Scripture, which points to the words of thanksgiving that a new father utters over the birth of his firsborn son. Lamech, at the relatively young age of 182, welcomes his first child into the world, and yet in his naming and description of Noah, Lamech prophesies aspects about Noah, and of the Seed of Promise yet to come:
