The Book of Micah
the great book of Micah, we see a prophet driven to proclaim God's Holy Word—not just a part but the full counsel of God. The prophet leaves nothing out. His message embraces the Lord's full character and encompasses His mighty works. It plunges to the terrifying depths of God's judgment and soars to the rich heights of God's mercy. Micah warns, threatens, and rebukes. Judgment on Jerusalem and Samaria. A picture of the coming judgment on all nations and people. Micah prophesied that the people of Judah and Israel were to be judged for their sins. The Lord's coming down from his temple (heaven). A picture of Christ's coming to earth as Conqueror.shepherd who "gathers the remnant of Israel." A picture of: (1) the Lord's protection and care for His people, (2) the restoration of Israel in Christ's kingdom, and (3) the Messiah Jesus Christ. forgiveness of sin ("tread sin underfoot" and "hurl iniquities into the depths of the sea").
