Rev. Paul A. Backhurst 10/23/22

The selfless compassion of the Lord Jesus Christ to all those that humbly come to Him to be cleansed of all their corruption is very clearly seen in this leper. Of all the outcasts that there can be in Jewish society, surely the leper was the lowest on the social scale, even lower than publicans and sinners. Where publicans and sinners were excluded from polite religious society, the leper was banished from all society, and most especially from the Temple. How then would a leper find cleansing and restoration? By looking to the mercy of God to be found in Christ Jesus:

  1. The Lord's Condescension
  2. The Leper's Supplication
  3. The Lord's Reaction
  4. The Leper's Assignment
