The New SermonAudio Is Finally Here!
We've launched our new website!
After years of putting together mockups and designs, and after years of going from concept to code, we have finally removed the Beta label off our site and have launched this massive rewrite as our primary website for SermonAudio! A solid foundation has been laid for the future.
A technological milestone, years in the making.
The new SermonAudio website is much more than a fresh coat of paint. It takes loads of technology to make it all work—a fresh new design language, a rewritten client-side framework, a corresponding server-side framework, a rewritten API layer, the database, and plenty of caching to keep things running smooth.
The entire architecture for the new site is foundationally different from the existing website. It was necessary to do so in order to get off of legacy back-end systems and embrace the newer development tools that today's developers are using.
It's big technology without the "Big Tech."
The Vault makes it possible.
We have been hard at work building out the physical infrastructure needed to guarantee the protection of our expanding library of almost 3 million sermons. However, The Vault is much more than just 3 petabytes of raw storage. It's an active computing cluster of 2,500 CPU cores and 8TB of high-speed RAM which allows us to have the horsepower needed to run the new resource-hungry website and scale as traffic increases into the future.

Mobile-friendly for any screen size.
The new site is not only clean and modern, but it is also responsive (mobile-friendly). A mobile-friendly website means easier access to sermons! It works beautifully on all screen sizes and even supports DARK mode for improved readability in low-light situations. Dark mode may seem like a small feature that's hardly worth mentioning, but for those that care, it's very welcome news!
User accounts for all.
The new SermonAudio deeply integrates our new free User accounts to anyone using the site. User accounts allow you to bookmark your favorite sermons and follow broadcasters, series, and speakers. In addition, you can keep track of play history across devices and conveniently pin "My Church" for quick access.

A superior sermon player experience.
SermonAudio at its heart is about sermons, and being able to easily listen to, watch, and share those sermons. The new SermonAudio enjoys a superior sermon experience in every way. Both the audio and video players have been carefully rewritten with full support for keyboard shortcuts, auto-resume, auto-play, transcription integration, variable playback speeds, and keeping track of your play history. We think you'll agree that the new site player is rock solid.
Reaching the world.
A Spanish-speaking visitor shouldn't have to navigate through an English website to listen to Spanish sermons. Both the sermon and the interface should be entirely in Spanish to remove every obstacle. The same is true for Chinese, Portuguese, and Hindi. The interface refers to the menus, the Bible references, the labels, the prompts, etc. The new SermonAudio website finally has full localized support for the interface, with more languages being added all the time!
Furthermore, the new site paves the way for Global Sermons which is currently under priority development.
Enjoy the new site!
Without further ado, explore and enjoy the new site. Share content. Create a User account. Consider broadcasting with us. And, be blessed! We're just getting started, there's much more to come!
